About the Course
This qualification enables you to optimize the use of medicine in the society. With a firm grounding in chemical, physical and biological studies, you can pursue professional specialities later on. In the initial years practical and clinical studies will provide you with a solid base.
The course of B. Pharm will extend over a period of four academic years. The curricula and syllabi for the course will be prescribed from time to time by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University Lucknow. The course is spread across eight semesters.
In the first semester the basics of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy and Mathematics are studied. In the second year the students are trained in the principles of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Immunology, Pharmaceutical Biochemistry. An understanding of Pharmaceutical Business Management is provided in the third year alongside a project work. In depth knowledge in Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Analysis is imparted as a special focus in the final year.
During the undergraduate course, a student not only learns the scientific concepts but also laboratory skills and attitude to exchange the knowledge between a physician and a patient.
